This policy explains what data the KoalaMirror app and KM Launcher collect, and how it is used. By using our apps you agree to this policy.

KM Launcher collects nothing. The launcher requests no permissions and makes no network connections; your grid layout and settings are stored only on your device and are excluded from system backups. The sections below therefore concern the KoalaMirror app and this website.

Data we collect

  • Anonymous diagnostics. A device profile (Android version, root type, Android Auto version, GMS presence, launcher) plus deploy and projection events, via Google Analytics for Firebase. No personal identifiers; ad personalization is disabled.
  • Account (for licensing). When you sign in with Google to activate projection, we receive your Google account identifier and email — used solely to issue and verify your license. We do not read your contacts, files, photos, or other data.
  • Crash & feedback reports. If you choose to send a crash report or feedback, we receive a diagnostic header (device/version info) and your message. Feedback requires an email so we can follow up.
  • Website analytics. Our website (koalamirror.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and see which pages are useful — standard analytics cookies, page views, and coarse device/location data. We do not use it for advertising.

How we use it

  • Diagnostics — to improve compatibility and prioritize fixes.
  • Account — to issue and verify your projection license (trial, subscription, lifetime).
  • Crash/feedback — to diagnose issues you report.

Third parties

  • Google Sign-In, Firebase Analytics, and Google Analytics 4 for the website (Google LLC).
  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe / Paddle) for subscriptions — they handle your payment data under their own policies; we never store card details.

Retention & deletion

License and account data are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us. We do not sell your data.

Children

Our apps are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
